Ambassadors know their communities. They bring a knowledge and understanding of what makes their communities tick. They’re connected to the people of their communities and are plugged into community issues.
You can call Megan Sparrow Jordan the ambassador to Lake Forest and Lake Bluff.
“My roots are deep and extend out in these communities,” says Jordan, broker with @properties in Lake Forest. “It allows me to have first-hand knowledge of our activities and opportunities, and to help clients make the connections for an easier transition.”
Jordan’s knowledge and expertise goes back to her time growing up in Lake Forest. She attended Everett Elementary School and went on to graduate from Lake Forest High School.
“I was instilled with an understanding of what makes Lake Forest and Lake Bluff so special,” she says.
Jordan placed such high value on community that when she was ready to start a family, she moved from Chicago back to Lake Bluff.
Jordan began her career in real estate as a paralegal in commercial and residential real estate with Baker and McKenzie. A few years later she used her skills and experience to launch a career as a real estate broker.
“Real estate caught my heart,” she says. “Working as a paralegal provided a wonderful background for the legal side of the residential real estate business. Shifting into sales came naturally for me because I love working with people.”
Jordan has carefully built her business over 30 years, connecting clients with their homes and introducing them to the community, neighbors, and other aspects of Lake Forest and Lake Bluff that make the community so exceptional. She also understands the nuances of buying and selling real estate and the timing and stress that comes with these life changes.
“I don’t think of this as a job; I think of it as a passion,” she says. “I am able to connect with and have strong, positive relationships with my buyers and sellers.”
Jordan’s ambassadorship to the community extends beyond the professional. She’s a dedicated volunteer, having served on the boards of the Gorton Community Center, Lake County Cares, and the Guild of St. Mary. Presently she is in her sixth year serving on the charitable board for @properties corporate charity, @Gives Back. The charity has donated for many years to various causes and the last couple of years has contributed to Chicago Blackhawks defenseman Duncan Keith’s Keith Relief charity and Chicago Cub Anthony Rizzo’s Rizzo Foundation. This year, the charity is supporting the Lynn Sage Scholars Program.
She was awarded the North Shore/Barrington Association of Realtors Community Service Award and was honored as a Lake Forest/Lake Bluff Woman of Service and Style.
Jordan’s professional and personal dedication to the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff communities is at the root of her ability to share her genuine and deep connection with her clients and their families.
Jordan says her business formula can be summed up in the following qualities: Trust, integrity, knowledge, and confidentiality.
