For more than three decades, award-winning attorney Jeffrey J. Kroll has represented injured victims or a deceased family member of negligence throughout the country in various areas including transportation law, negligence, medical malpractice, and other disciplines of personal injury law. Kroll has obtained close to $500 million in verdicts and settlements, including a record-breaking $148 million Illinois jury verdict on behalf of a dancer paralyzed by a shelter collapse at O’Hare International Airport. This is the highest compensatory award to an individual in Illinois history. Kroll has published more than 140 articles for lawyers, including a book chapter on “Summation in Personal Injury and Wrongful Death Cases,” which was widely distributed to trial lawyers across the country. He has also lectured to lawyers and various Bar Associations throughout the country on over 165 occasions. He is wellknown in not only the Chicago media but national media on a variety of tort and trial law subjects. He has taught at three local law schools: Northwestern, DePaul, and John Marshall. “I still enjoy the thrill of representing someone and fighting for an injured individual against a large corporation,” Kroll says. “It is very rewarding to know that you represent an individual—a real person—and you can impact the rest of that person’s life.” Kroll and his firm are also actively involved in a National Class Action litigation involving necrotizing enterocolitis, where premature children were fed Similac or Enfamil.
