JAZZ BRUNCH FUNDRAISER

Bravo Waukegan, a Lake Forest based nonprofit organization which raises money in support of music education in Waukegan public schools, held its annual benefit at Deer Path Inn in April. This year’s event, “Jazz Brunch” was filled by music performed by Waukegan students and the Kevin Brown Jazz Quartet. Teachers, Bravo alumni, and supporters believe in the influence that music has on academics and overall educational experience. The organization raised more than $50,000 that will go toward scholarships for summer music camp, instruments, and music instruction programs. bravowaukegan.org
