James M. Quigley is a divorce family law litigator and Equity Partner at Beermann LLP who has practiced nearly 30 years. After graduating from DePaul University College of Law in 1992, he has enjoyed a successful career as an outstanding trial lawyer. Quigley has tried countless cases, earning him acceptance into the American College of Family Trial Lawyers (ACFTL), a national trial organization of the top 100 divorce and family law trial lawyers in the country. He is currently President-elect for the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers (AAML). Quigley has been a competitive athlete throughout his life and that same competitive fire and relentless desire to win is what helps him stand out above the competition, resulting in numerous custody/financial victories throughout his career. His approach with clients is to determine the desired result first, then devise a specific strategy to achieve the outcome. Executing that strategy is the top priority in fighting for and protecting his clients’ families and financial security. One of Quigley’s most rewarding trial victories was a case where his client’s former attorney gave up, essentially admitting the client couldn’t win. Quigley prevailed—preventing his client’s children from being removed out of state, thus preserving his client’s relationship with his two beautiful children.
