In November, over 120 guests joined Allendale Shelter Club to toast the group’s fall fundraiser Hope for the Holidays, an afternoon wine stroll and shopping party in and around Market Square in Lake Forest. The early evening shopping-for-a-cause event featured wine tastings, live music in Market Square by Louie Zagoras and Friends. The total raised to date is $80,000 and counting. Tastings were curated by Chip Harkleroad of Courtyard Wines and winery experts in participating boutiques, such as Kenzy, Lillie Alexander, Valentina, M on the Square, Smith Men’s Store, and Lake Forest Book Store. Proceeds will continue to help Allendale care for the education, emotional and physical well-being of youth, providing them the transformational experience of being a kid.
