Studio 41 home design showrooms have been bringing luxury products to the consumer at every level for more than 20 years, Unlike other high-end showrooms, Studio 41 is open to everyone—whether you’re an interior designer, architect, builder, contractor, or even a homeowner working on a DIY project.
With bathroom remodeling season upon us, we turned to Studio 41 to see what was trending among designers in the Hinsdale area.
Abby Lando Wagner, senior kitchen and bath designer at Studio 41, says the biggest trend to watch in the coming year has homeowners looking for small changes that can make a big impact.
“It can be as simple as changing the accessories and mirror,” says Wagner. “Or you could go big and add a feature wall of tile behind the sink and mirror.”
From kitchen fixtures to cabinetry, one of the signature offerings at Studio 41 has always been offering the highest quality products at affordable prices. Wagner says she and her design team naturally stay on trend just by paying attention to their customers.
“Our designers also regularly attend industry related training sessions and follow major design magazines,” she adds. “Our showrooms are updated based on trends and customer demand.”
Another bathroom trend to watch in the months ahead follows the millennial preference for simplicity and practicality. Oversized whirlpools once popular are being replaced with walk-in showers.
“This includes decorative hardware and tiles as well,” Wagner says. “Large tiles have become much more favorable than mosaic, so that trend continues to evolve.”
But the most notable development to watch is the focus on small details that can make a big difference in bathroom design.
“Something as simple as replacing the lavatory faucet, for example, can change the feel of a space,” Wagner says. “We are also seeing the trend continue of replacing a pedestal sink with a small furniture piece. This adds charm, but also solves the usual bathroom storage dilemmas.”
The Studio 41 design team invites anyone remodeling a bathroom this winter to stop by the Kohler Signature Store by Studio 41 in Burr Ridge or at its locations in Naperville or Glenview. And if you aren’t working with a professional, kitchen design services are offered at the showroom to help make your vision become a reality.
