When Winnetka native CHA MCDANIEL bought a home on the North Shore about 27 years ago, the process was anything but smooth. “Buying and selling real estate should be a much happier experience,” she remembers thinking. From this positive attitude, service-oriented focus, and a desire to bring clients win-win results, a real estate star was born. She earned her MBA from Quinlan School of Business and worked as an Estate Settlement Administrator at the Northern Trust Company before taking the leap. McDaniel frequently sold properties and worked closely with beneficiaries in distributing the proceeds in this role, giving her many of the skills she needed to excel as a real estate agent. Today, she treats each transaction for her clients at @properties Christies International Real Estate as if it were her own—managing every detail, whether it’s helping buyers find their dream home or helping sellers preparing a property for listing. McDaniel’s in-depth knowledge of the North Shore, its schools, recreation, and area amenities paints a winning picture. The result is a faithful roster of clients who leave the transaction with a far happier experience than she did all those years ago.
Most rewarding part of what you do? Seeing my client’s happiness at being able to move on to the next chapter of their lives.
How should women support other women? By helping each other and being just as happy for their success as you are of your own.
How do you inspire others? By being true to myself. I strive to demonstrate the values and work ethic I wish to see in others.
Definition of success? Success isn’t measured by numbers on a page. It means knowing I’ve done the best job I can with the utmost integrity.
