Chicago’s famed Vietnamese restaurant opened a hub on the North Shore. More than 450 guests gathered to celebrate the grand opening of Le Colonial in Lake Forest. Signature cocktails were flowing and ’80s music playing, as guests enjoyed appetizers galore while admiring the opulent setting. Designed to capture a bygone era of sophistication, Le Colonial is “an escapist’s paradise” in Lake Forest’s iconic Market Square. During the ribbon-cutting ceremony owner Joe King thanked the City of Lake Forest, building owners Jason Smith and Peter Westmeyer and Mark Knauer, the head of Knauer Inc., a nationally acclaimed design and architecture firm responsible for the design of the new space.
