GIVING VOICE

Wearing your heart on your sleeve can be seen as weakness, but as a voiceover artist, TV/Film actress, wife, and mother of two, KARIN ANGLIN considers it her superpower. “It’s why I can easily access the dig-deep emotions or out-on-a-limb creative choices that compelling characters and narrators deserve,” explains Anglin, who has more than 28 television and film credits to her name. Most notably, Anglin starred as Alison in two seasons of Showtime’s Work in Progress and last year was a recurring guest star in Season 8 of NBC’s Chicago Med. In addition to her television appearances, Anglin’s voiceover experience ranges from being a TV promo voice for MLB Network, Syfy, and Comedy Central to voicing the “My Drunk Boyfriend” skit for Saturday Night Live, animated characters for Netflix’s Inside Job, and hundreds of TV and radio commercials and political ads. Her talents can also serve local charity benefits and live auctions, as well as elevate corporations’ in-house marketing and advertising by lending her voice to their websites, phone systems, and branding videos. Whatever the project, Anglin’s goal is to “shine my light so that the creative collaborations I’m a part of feel like a win for everyone on board.”

Most rewarding part of what you do? To see a creative piece that I am a part of transform, inspire, or educate an audience to gain a new perspective on themselves and/or the world.

b Resilience. I value staying power and that requires navigating unexpected changes or challenges with flexibility, curiosity, and creativity.

How do you inspire others? I try to inspire others by being a reminder that we can turn challenges into triumphs by choosing our focus intentionally. Choosing an empowering mindset is key.
