Warmer weather is finally here, and that means shorts, skirts, and bathing suits make their way from the bottom of our drawers to the top. It’s a welcome change for most of us after a long winter, but not so much for people who have spider or varicose veins.

Dr. Sreenivas Reddy is here to help. Earlier this year, he took over Chicago Legs, the boutique medical practice formerly owned by Dr. David Loiterman in Hinsdale. Dr. Loiterman’s retirement created an opportunity for Dr. Reddy to bring his experience in spider and varicose vein treatment to patients in the Western Suburbs and surrounding areas, where he also lives.

“We provide the highest level of care by utilizing the safest and most effective and affordable medical treatments available for varicose and spider veins,” says Dr. Reddy.

Dr. Reddy is one of Chicago’s premiere vein treatment doctors. He has 16 years of experience in performing endovenous laser vein treatments (EVLT) and injection therapies. Previously, patients at Chicago Legs mostly received injection treatments like sclerotherapy to treat vein issues, but Dr. Reddy is a board certified Diagnostic Radiologist who specializes in Vascular and Interventional Radiology—meaning his focus is on treating the underlying causes of vein diseases with treatments like EVLT, laser surgery, ambulatory phlebectomy, endoscopic vein surgery, and more.

Prior to taking over Chicago Legs earlier this year, Dr. Reddy spent the past 10 years at Northwestern Medicine Delnor Hospital. Last year, he he received an award for outstanding physician for the hospital and medical staff—a prestigious annual award the hospital gives only to its top doctors. During his time with the Northwestern system, Dr. Reddy was also director for Fox Valley Advanced Vein and Laser Center, located in Geneva.

In addition to the expanded set of treatment offerings Dr. Reddy is bringing to Chicago Legs, he’s also hoping to expand his list of patients by offering more hours. The practice is open Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., but Dr. Reddy also works with patients if they have needs outside of standard office hours. He also takes patient insurance, which is especially important for many patients who are dealing with serious underlying vein disease.

Every case is different, though. “I treat each patient as an individual with a unique need. I listen to a patient’s concerns, and I’m committed to creating the best results in the most cost effective manner,” he says.

Each patient meets with Dr. Reddy to establish the right treatment plan, which can range from a minimally invasive injection procedure to perhaps a short series of procedures to treat a problem that’s creating ongoing issues for a patient. Dr. Reddy can manage it all, no matter what your spider and varicose vein issue, and he can do it just in time for summer.
