The Chicago Botanic Garden President and CEO Jean Franczyk hosted the Garden’s annual Gardens of Distinction at the home and gardens of Roger and Sandy Deromedi. More than 200 guests toured the spectacular restoration of the Mayflower Ravine during the event that supports the Garden’s conservation and science programs. Originally designed by Jens Jensen in 1913 for a Georgian-style manor house, landscaping on the property evokes the naturalistic design themes with woodlands, meadows, a restored ravine, and log bridges.
