COURTNEY BOHNEN STACH has been a top producing agent in Chicago’s Western Suburbs for 25 years, ranking in the top 20 agents in DuPage County as of Quarter 2, 2025. She received a B.A. in Communications from Loyola New Orleans and returned to work in advertising, then telecom, and then diving into the world of real estate to work alongside her family in their local real estate firm from 2000 to 2025. Her background in brokerage ownership and her strong community network reinforces all the key building blocks of a great principal and team lead. Joining Compass in Spring 2025 was a game changer for Stach and her team of five—The Courtney Stach Group, composed of Dave Ricordati, Ann Smith, Natalie Pieczkowski, and Elliot Adamczyk. Five-star ratings and continuous improvement have been Stach’s mantra since working for Lucent Technologies in the 1990s.
What excites you most about the future of your industry? Tech and the integration of new tools as well as building a real estate team of superheroes—each with their own expertise and talent in order to serve our marketplace at its best.
What conversations are you passionate about bringing to the table? Whatever type of client I have, and wherever they are in their life journey, I work avidly to understand their world. I work to anticipate their needs, find solutions and surpass expectations. Nobody likes stress and I work diligently to make it a smooth, simplified process from start-to-finish.
How do you give back to your community and the industry? I love to volunteer and see our communities flourish and grow! I am the President of The Garden Club of Hinsdale, a Social Chairperson for Collector’s Club, a Catechist at Notre Dame Parish, and on the Board of Boosters at Hinsdale Central. My upcoming charitable drive is a Book Drive for National Literacy Month in October as I am a huge proponent of ALL kids having access to great books and reading real books and not just on handhelds. Our goal is to collect 1,200 books this fall for Bernie’s Book Bank.
How do you maintain balance between your professional and personal life? As a working mother from the start of parenthood; I worked very hard to prioritize my family. True balance isn’t found; it’s scheduled! Always make sure to schedule date night and family time as you would a listing presentation or business meeting.
