When you contract with Roni Nanini to list your home for sale—or solicit her help to purchase one—her job doesn’t begin there. Once she’s sold your home or helped you find your dream house, her job doesn’t end there, either. You wouldn’t want it to.

Nanini, a broker with @properties in Lake Forest, lives by the motto “Let’s get it done,” and that goes beyond the transactional.

Want to do some upgrades in that new house? She can refer you to the right contractor. Need a plumber or electrician? She’ll open her rolodex and point you to some reliable connections. Painter? Same.

“I love helping people. I always have,” Nanini says. “I love matching people with a service or experience I know is right for them, and I love making people’s lives easier. That all comes together in real estate.”

You could call what Nanini possesses the perfect trifecta: friendly energy, deep knowledge about real estate and the Lake Forest and Lake Bluff communities, and a wealth of connections developed over her years living in the area.

“To live in the area you sell gives you so many connections that someone new to the area is never going to have,” she says. “This is especially appreciated by my buyers coming to the area from the city. I can take an area such as Lake Forest, separate it out, and truly show them why Lake Forest might work for them and their needs.”

The combination of these connections and knowledge and a customer-service oriented business philosophy helps Nanini remove the apprehensions and anxieties buyers and sellers have during their real estate journey.

“I’ve always taken on that ‘friend’ role with my clients,” Nanini says. “I want them to feel they can come to me with any question they might have, no matter what it is.”

One thing Nanini won’t do for clients is push them into decisions they’re not ready to make. She believes in being thoughtful and deliberate and understands the risk of buyers making hasty decisions.

“I’m what you would call a very educational broker,” she says. “I don’t push people into doing something they might not be comfortable with. I do my best to educate them fully about every decision they need to make throughout the process.”

Nanini was born and raised in Highland Park and is currently raising a family in Lake Forest. She started her professional career working with people with disabilities before joining the real estate business. It turned out to be the right fit.

“I have an endless amount of energy and an upbeat attitude about life in general,” Nanini says. “I guess that’s what happens when you love what you do for a living, and I love this area I get to call home.”
