This innovative behavioral health group practice offers quality mental health care to children, adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Experienced Licensed Psychologists and Clinical Therapists provide researchbased Psychotherapy services, as well as Psychological Testing/ Diagnosis of various psychological/emotional/behavioral concerns. Other services include Bariatric Assessment, Military Entrance, and Veterans Disability Examination. Dr. Shakhman values the Psychologist-Patient relationship and is interactive, collaborative, and educational in the way she works with patients. “My goal for the practice is to empower individuals to have the life they envision for themselves,” she says.
Most rewarding part of what you do? I am truly honored to bear witness to the transformative journey of my patients through clinical work. It’s incredibly gratifying to play a direct role in their growth.
Definition of success? Being a wife, mother of four great kids, and a practice owner. My definition of success encompasses achieving a balance that fulfills my responsibilities and aspirations in each role I play. Success, to me, involves finding harmony between my professional ambitions and family commitments, ensuring that neither aspect compromises the other.
Best piece of advice for anyone starting out? Passionately pursue your interests and align them with your professional endeavors.
Powerful woman you admire the most? My late mother, who gave me the gift of love, encouragement, and nurturance. Through her legacy, I am now capable of imparting these virtues in both my personal and professional relationships.
