This passion for design began with a renovation of her first home, where Reeves discovered a natural talent for enhancing both form and function. As neighbors and friends sought her advice for furniture and finish selections, what had started as a personal interest quickly turned into a business. Dawn Reeves Design was established in 2012 and the single-room projects soon expanded to full-home designs, historic renovations, and custom new builds. Today, Dawn Reeves Design serves clients across the Chicago area and beyond, transforming houses into exceptional, highly personalized homes that stand the test of time.

What trends are you currently seeing in the home design industry, and how do you anticipate these trends evolving over the next year?
The past is experiencing a revival. We are increasingly called upon to breathe new life into everything from historic homes to cherished family heirlooms and antique finds, seamlessly integrating them into our projects.

How do you tailor your designs or services to meet the unique needs of luxury homeowners?
We believe that true luxury isn’t just about aesthetics—it’s about creating homes that feel as comfortable as they are sophisticated. Our work combines bespoke millwork, custom furniture, and curated materials with cutting-edge technology to craft striking, personalized spaces. Additionally, our in-house ability to render and create 3D walkthroughs allows clients to visualize and refine their spaces with confidence.

What’s one of the most memorable projects you’ve worked on, and what made it stand out for you and your client?
A Naples, Florida homeowner adored her coastal retreat but visited less as her lifestyle evolved. When she purchased a home in Naperville, we were brought in to reimagine the space—infusing it with the breezy, nautical feel she adored while seamlessly blending it with a refined Midwestern aesthetic. The result was a home that beautifully captured the essence of her Naples retreat, tailored to her new lifestyle, and she couldn’t have been more thrilled.
