Even if you aren’t planning a renovation of your kitchen and bath in 2020—and perhaps you should be—you’ll still want to stop by to tour Studio41’s newest and largest Home Design Showroom on the border of Palatine and Barrington. It’s full of inspiration and eye candy for any homeowner.
For one, it’s 30,000-square-feet chock full of kitchen and bath vignettes, hardware, cabinetry, tile, fixtures and windows to give any homeowner grand ideas of the potential that exists to update their home. Second, the showroom associates, experienced designers, and in-home window treatment specialist are at-the-ready with their vast knowledge—whether it be latest trends or classic inspiration—and the most recent innovations and materials in products.
Case in point, and one of the most ingenious additions to the new showroom, are the interactive shower and faucet displays. You can literally turn on any showerhead in the display and watch it run water. Or, grab a retractable hose for the kitchen sink faucet and feel the weight of it, play around with it, see the flow. And decide, based on real evidence, which one you want to purchase. No more guessing, No more returns. Not to mention, it’s fun.
“We have over 100 feet of shower and kitchen faucet displays, including a 45-foot showering display with 140 different fixtures to try,” says John Mannion, Executive General Manager overseeing sales and marketing activities for Studio41 as well as day-to-day operation of the business. “There are 64 feet of working kitchen faucets on display in every shape, size, and finish. It’s really impactful for people to see and feel how they work. We’ve never seen anything else like this in any other showroom.”
In fact, Mannion says that the new Palatine showroom is the largest of its kind in the U.S. “This is arguably the most state-of-the-art kitchen and bath showroom in the country,” he adds. “It is one of the premier kitchen and bath showrooms with our combination of innovative technology and the latest and greatest approaches to displaying product and creating a comfortable and effective space for customers to pick out what they need.”
The impetus for choosing the Barrington area for its newest showroom was the area’s vibrant community of homeowners and skilled tradespeople, as well as the area’s commitment to great design and architecture with its bustling retail districts.
And it was the perfect location to establish a Kohler Signature Store. Offering a huge selection of Kohler, Kallista, and Robern brand products along with its own interactive shower display, an Ann Sachs tile center, thoughtfully designed vignettes, and expertly trained designers who cater to your every design need. Depending on the project scope, Kohler designers make home visits to view layout and create individual, customized floor plans.
“This is a unique Kohler experience where we partner with Kohler to put together the best, most state-of-the-art collection of product and display it in a way that helps customers get a feel for the products and how they work in their living space,” explains Mannion. “It’s also a unique showroom in that we have the combined resources of the Kohler exclusive experience with our Studio41 multi-branded showroom. Ultimately, we are trying to drive the best level of convenience we can for our customers.”
This convenience was a paramount motivator for Studio41’s new “ready to go program,” according to Mannion. To meet customers’ wide range of budgets and time frames, there is a large selection of high-quality in-stock vanities (definitely not the ones you’d see at a big box store) on display at this showroom. “It’s for the person who wants to update their powder room in a weekend, for example,” Mannion laughs.
“You can mix and match, and take something home with you if it’s on the floor,” he explains. Or, work with a designer to create your own high-end
custom cabinetry for any project. “It’s about understanding what our customers want and expect, and then providing that level of convenience and satisfaction for what our customers need and want now.”
“The showrooms are a place for people to feel comfortable and to benefit from the experience of working with our people,” Mannion sums up. “We want each customer to feel their experience with Studio41 is what they expected.”
Stop by. You won’t be disappointed.
