Founded in 2008, Randy Heller’s eponymous interior design atelier aims to elevate, renovate, and design homes that reflect how you want to live. She draws on experience studying with UK celebrity designer Kelly Hoppen, as well as participation on a variety of showhouses and TV programs to develop design strategies for her clients in Chicago, New York, Michigan, and Wisconsin.

Why do you love what you do? I make the world a more beautiful place to live in and at the same time change the way people feel when they are in their homes. When done the right way, it’s an emotional and physical experience.

What sets you apart from your competition? My eyes.

Best thing about 2020 was? Knowing what is truly important. Being thankful for what I have and taking care of people who are important to me.

Past trend you’d like to see return? Using good flatware and china on a daily basis.

Trends on the horizon? Japandi, where Japanese minimalism meets Scandanavian design, and herringbone floors. I love both.

Best advice ever given to you? Always bring your best self in any given situation.

Best advice you’ve given? If you talk from the heart, you will never have to memorize anything.

Where do you draw inspiration from? Instagram, books, Netflix, Chef ’s Table, ballet, nature, and musical theater.

Favorite mantra? Put one foot in front of the other and keep moving forward.

Most looking forward to in 2021? Personal and professional growth.
