Dr. Daniel J Krochmal is a board-certified plastic surgeon widely recognized for providing personalized, compassionate care to his patients. He and the team at The Krochmal Center for Plastic Surgery in Hinsdale offer a wide variety of tailored approaches in plastic and reconstructive surgery to help patients achieve their ideal results. A commitment to patient safety is a prime goal of Dr. Krochmal, who serves on the Patient Safety Committee and Legislative Advocacy Committee for the American Society of Plastic Surgeons (ASPS). “It may sound cliché, but my patients inspire me,” he shares. “Everyone has a unique story of overcoming hurdles, whether it’s weight loss or life events, their stories of perseverance and triumph are incredible to hear.”
A native of Michigan, he graduated from the University of Michigan Medical School, and completed residencies at Mayo Clinic Arizona and the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill. He then trained at the world-renowned Hunstad Kortesis Center in Charlotte, where he learned advanced body contouring and breast and facial aesthetic procedures. Dr. Krochmal is also known for his lightheartedness, quirky sense of humor, and interest in the arts. “I’m fascinated by creative minds. I try to promote those minds to others however I can, be it through displaying it in my office or sharing it on social media,” he says. “There is so much talent around Chicago!” In addition to practitioner, he continues to be an active researcher to advance the field of plastic surgery and is engaged in several research projects focused on progressing and enhancing treatment options. “I can only do so much by providing the best care and results that I can deliver,” he adds, “but it’s my incredible staff that create the entire patient experience that has given my practice the reputation it has today.”
