In Hinsdale, County Line Properties established a lasting legacy in character, reputation, and ethics—shaping the region’s real estate industry. Courtney Bohnen Stach, daughter of former owners Penny and John Bohnen, continues this tradition at Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate County Line. The merger with Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate (BHGRE) aligns perfectly with the community’s values, offering trusted expertise in home-related matters. Stach is joined by Managing Broker, Dario Medina, who is deeply ingrained in the Hinsdale community. He has a background in sales and 17 years of real estate experience combined with an accounting degree from the University of Illinois and an MBA from Fordham. Medina is an accomplished leader who will guide the County Line team and their clients to success. This powerhouse duo, along with their amazing colleagues, drive Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate County Line toward the future, recognizing people seek a lifestyle as much as they seek a home. Medina and Stach are always looking to add more “legacy-makers” to their brokerage family.
What made you want to start a career in real estate?
Medina: When I was at a crossroads in my career in 2006, my brother, a real estate developer, encouraged me to make the leap into real estate. I immediately enjoyed working with different customers, all around town, with no two days ever being the same. I knew very quickly that it was the right industry for me.
What’s most rewarding about real estate?
Stach: Every day is different in the world of real estate. Your seasons change with the economy and your luck is tied not only to hard work but also to connections, your dedication, tenacity, and growing your savviness daily.
What do you think separates you from other real estate professionals in the business today?
Stach: I have some wonderful mentors. Real estate is not only a business, but it’s sharing a lifestyle and having an intuitive nature to anticipate your clients’ needs in this sophisticated market.
In real estate, what will never be replaced by technology?
Medina: Relationships built on trust and experience can never be replaced by technology.
