Business success doesn’t come easy. You need to feel the pulse of the marketplace, you need to anticipate and pivot. And of course, be at the right place at the right time. Sometimes, that requires a little assistance. That’s where Camille Fetter comes in. Founder and CEO of Talentfoot Executive Search & Staffing, Fetter has been connecting expert, inventive, and ambitious individuals with challenging and rewarding careers for over a decade.

Based in Chicago—with a team of 50 associates operating across the country—Talentfoot specializes in matching top marketing, sales, technology, human resources, and operations talent with high-growth digital-centric businesses—from Series B-funded startups to Fortune 50 advertising and marketing agencies— to partnering with private equity and venture capital firms. “At Talentfoot,” says Fetter, “we define our success by our ability to change lives for the better—for the employers who trust us to hire the right talent to grow their businesses, and for the job seekers who depend on our ability to match their talents and desires with the right position, culture, and leadership team.”

Raised in Lake Forest, where she returned after more than a decade in the city and now lives with her daughter, Fetter began her own career in media planning at the advertising agency, Kelly Scott Madison. At the time, digital advertising was just beginning to take off and she was soon hooked. “I had the opportunity to learn and understand this new form of media consumption that was quickly changing life as we knew it,” she recalls. “My passion for digital marketing evolved into my passion for digital business.”

Her professional transition began when she joined a recruitment firm, working first in staffing, and then in executive search. She loved being a “corporate matchmaker” and started to think about taking this passion to another level. “Over the course of my career, while working with investors and high-growth digital startups in Silicon Valley, I was extremely fortunate to study scores of extraordinarily successful entrepreneurs by partnering with them to scale their businesses. This gave me the confidence to believe I could also start a business, build a brand, and take it to scale.”

Fetter launched Talentfoot in 2010 and like any professional worth her salt, has responded expeditiously to new industries, metamorphosing business models, and ever-evolving client expectations. “The workforce continues to change at an unprecedented pace. Our job is to not only keep up with this pace but to stay ahead of it,” she says. “In doing so, we created Indigo, our exclusive, invite-only C-suite membership network that we believe is poised to disrupt executive search by being the first of its kind to leverage matchmaking, executive search, board, and advisory services in one platform. Indigo represents Talentfoot’s next great leap forward by matching our C-suite members with the country’s most coveted jobs, board, advisory, and networking opportunities that will enable leaders to build their legacies. It gives employers access to an exclusive network of leaders meticulously vetted for their ability to drive top-line growth.”

While committed to the success of her business and the success of others, Fetter never forgets to consider all the other variables that constitute living a fulfilling, purposeful, and meaningful life. For her that includes travel, learning about other cultures, staying active, exploring Chicago’s art and music scene, uncovering holein- the-wall restaurants, and catching a Cubs game. And when it comes to her clients, she always keeps the big picture in mind. “The bulk of our work is helping organizations identify and lure proven talent with a track record of accomplishing exactly what the business needs to accomplish. In order to lure these top performers, we must be able to offer advancement, more fulfillment, and an opportunity that will help them achieve their personal and professional goals. We move families across the country to be closer to loved ones, change lives with equitable opportunities that drive tremendous long-term wealth, bestow flexibility so they can make their kid’s sports games—the list goes on. We show people the possibilities and just like any matchmaker, put them in touch with the right leaders and organizations that will help them reach their fullest potential.”
