Originally from Nebraska, Kacie Ruggio moved to Illinois to attend Midwestern University, where she earned her master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies. Shortly after beginning her graduate program, she met her husband, Nick. After spending five years living in the city, the couple relocated to Barrington, where they now raise their two children, Caroline (8) and Will (5). Ruggio works as a cardiac surgery physician assistant for Northwestern Medicine Bluhm Cardiovascular Institute and serves as Vice President of Fundraising for Roslyn Road Elementary’s Parent Teacher Organization.
