Christopher J. James says he and his colleagues at Etiquette Financial Partners strive to create a clear road map to help clients pursue their goals. “We are a smaller practice consisting of myself, Senior Managing Partner Eric Degnan, and Partner Lindsey Driscoll so we feel that we are more hands-on with our clients. We pride ourselves on attention to detail,” explains James, a 17-year resident of Hinsdale and married father of four who has worked in the financial services industry for more than 25 years. “The whole reason I chose this profession is because I like helping people. It is personally humbling to be chosen to be a part of our client’s financial life,” explains James. He and the team at Etiquette Financial Partners begin working with clients by assessing their individual financial goals and needs. “Each client has a unique set of life circumstances, goals, and aspirations. We do not diagnose our clients without knowing what their problems or issues might be. It is our responsibility to find strategies and provide them with education and information to pursue their financial goals,” explains James, a proud veteran of the U.S. Army 10th Mountain Division. “Serving in the 10th Mountain Division was a touchstone experience that I fall back on when I face situations that I am not sure what the outcome will be. I believe it’s this history of overcoming odds and extreme pressure to deliver a positive result that has helped me be successful in business today.”
