For almost fifty years, Cardinal Bartolucci, the “musician of the popes,” oversaw the music of the sacred liturgies of the successors of St. Peter. He became known among the various musical chapels of the papal basilicas and in 1956, at just 39 years old, Pope Pius XII bestowed upon him the prestigious office of Perpetual Maestro and Director of the Sistine Chapel Choir. The Sanfilippo Estate houses the Place de La Musique recreating the Victorian era of the first movie palaces. The Music Theater can seat 350 and houses the largest theatre pipe organ ever built. Coming from Rome, the Bartolucci Choir was proud to perform on April 19, 2022 in this exclusive setting, singing a selection of sacred Papal music, favorite well-known Italian opera arias, and an excerpt from the Bartolucci opera “Brunellesco.”
