Cory Albiani uses a team approach, expertly honed marketing skills, professionalism no matter what, and a second language to excel at real estate on the North Shore. PHOTOGRAPHY BY ROBIN SUBARAfter working with Fortune 500 companies like Hershey Foods and Rand McNally, Cory Albiani made the move into real estate.
“I always had an interest in it and was intrigued by the opportunity to run my own business,” he says.
His mother, Coral, had been in the business for 30 years and encouraged him to give it a try.
“She has been a great mentor and partner,” Albiani says. He and his mother often co-market, though they work autonomously.
It didn’t take long for him to realize that the skills gained in the corporate world were valuable for realty as well. His sales and marketing acumen have given him a competitive edge, especially when it comes to effectively marketing and negotiating on his clients’ behalf.
“Whether buying or selling, I apply my corporate experience to benefit my clients and close deals,” he says.
Albiani welcomes any challenge and consistently delivers a high level of professionalism to all his clients, whatever the budget or demand.
“No matter what, I always take the same diligent, professional approach,” he says. “That includes strategic marketing campaigns and effective communications.”
He also speaks Spanish, which can be very useful and gives him a leg up on the North Shore. That, combined with his concierge style approach—successful pricing analysis, tailored marketing plans, excellent communication, and strong negotiation skills—has served Albiani well. His listings are on the market one-third the average listing time, and he boasts a 98-percent sale price to list.
In his now 13 years of real estate, including six with @properties, he says he’s learned it also takes a lot of grit and hard work.
“I think it’s very important to have the tenacity to get through difficult situations to get a deal done,” he says. “Keeping everything together from start to finish, from contract to close. A professional approach no matter who I’m working with is very important to me.”
Albiani realizes that he isn’t just a one-man show. He credits his team approach and trusted group of stagers, handymen, tradesmen, attorneys, inspectors, and more with much of his success, as well as his supportive wife and children.
Perhaps the biggest reason for his success though is a genuine passion for the job. Albiani thinks everyone should “love where they live.” It’s what drives him to make all his clients happy.
“I enjoy exceeding people’s expectations, and I love to see people genuinely happy with their purchase,” he says. “Getting the top dollar for sellers and getting the best value for buyers and seeing people get the right house for them that they truly love…That keeps me excited about my work every day.”
