The Lake Forest Preservation Foundation recently launched the publication of Architectural Lake Forest: A Guide to National Register Districts and Properties in Lake Forest, Illinois. A 26,000-square-foot David Adler masterpiece built for Lolita Armour in the 1930s and originally decorated by Frances Elkins set the stage for the festive affair. Susan Athenson, Lake Forest Preservation Foundation President, joined Adrienne Fawcett, Marcus Norman, and David Robson, who along with author Arthur H. Miller contributed to the creation of this celebration of Lake Forest’s historic properties. Also present were representatives of the current owner, Kevork Derderian. The event raised more than $11,000 for the foundation. lfpf.org
