Born and raised in LaGrange Park, Bill Chiganos carries 23 years and a wealth of experience in the field of loan origination. After graduating from the Elmhurst University with a Bachelor of Arts degree, Chiganos started originating in 1999. “I have developed the ability and empathy to guide first-time homebuyers through what can be an intimidating mortgage process. I can also relate, consult, and understand the needs of move-up buyers and affluent clients. I have closed many complex loan transactions that require a high degree of knowledge and never stop advocating for my client,” he says. It’s no wonder he was ranked in the top one percent in the Chicago area for mortgage volume for Regions Bank and nominated as Chicago Loan Originator of the Year in 2021. Chiganos, who serves as the Vice President, Mortgage Loan Originator at Regions Bank, prides himself on walking his clients through every step of the transaction process and answering all questions they may have, all while communicating promptly along the way. “I got into the industry because I wanted to make a difference in people’s lives,” he says. “What better way than to provide them the keys to their dream home. A place when they have made plans for their future. To see my clients smile with excitement come closing day, sometimes with tears of joy, that’s what it’s all about to me.”
