Sachs Family Foundation President and PAWS Chicago board member LAURA SACHS believes a family pet completes a home. This animal advocate and Winnetka native now travels to-and-fro between homes in Miami and Chicago with her little girl and pup, Presley, in tow. Sachs is looking forward to her role as co-presenting sponsor for the second annual FORE! PAWS Chicago Golf Outing on June 13 at Westmoreland Country Club in Wilmette. Here is how Sachs, between travel, parenting, and philanthropy, stays on-trend.

ON HER RADIO
“Either stuck in Lake Shore Drive traffic or having a singalong on my in-laws’ sailboat on Lake Michigan, Chris Stapleton is always playing. I saw him at Coachella five years ago on a small side stage, and I love that with all his fame he is still exactly the same. His music is so moving, and I love that his wife is his lead vocalist. Any dog lover must listen to ‘Maggie’s Song.’”
ON HER NIGHTSTAND
“The only book that is on my nightstand is What to Expect The First Year by Heidi Murkoff. My daughter was born at the end of May and each day is an adventure. I recently traveled alone and was thrilled to have quiet time to read through the current issue of Vogue, it was heaven.”
ON HER MOBILE
“Scrolling through, I am always checking on PAWS’ Instagram account. It brings me such joy to see the animals we are saving. To see a malnourished dog that was left in a cardboard box become a healthy and thriving family pet is simply the best. PAWS is deeply rooted in the North Shore community and Chicago; I love to attend or follow along with events that are happening.”
