A TRANSFORMATIVE EXPERIENCE

Founder Tony LaMantia discovered his passion as a high school student when he took a job with a local construction company. He became known for his tireless work ethic and love for the business, and after 17 years, ventured out on his own to create LaMantia Design & Remodeling in 1973. It wasn’t long before it evolved into a true family-owned company, with his son, Andy LaMantia, and son-in-law, Mike Gacek, joining him.
The company flourished, and the family business found itself needing a larger showroom. In 2017, they got just that, when they moved to their current location at 20 East Ogden in Hinsdale. The 6,000 square foot showroom is their pride and joy, an enhanced platform from which to inspire customers with stunning kitchen, bathroom, bar, and library room displays. There is even a working kitchen, which is used for company parties and fundraiser events.
Sadly, Tony passed in 2021, but Andy and Mike have continued to run the business.
While LaMantia has adapted and transformed over the years to remain a leader in the industry, they steadfastly uphold the same values of excellence that the company was built upon. As a result, generations of customer families have come back to LaMantia for projects—a true testament to the solid foundation Tony built.
LaMantia’s design/build process begins with knowing and understanding their client before starting a renovation project. They make it their priority to understand the client’s goals, wish list items, and any challenges with a client’s current space. They will also help identify any problem areas that need addressing.
