Doug Stein bought Wilmette-based Kashian Brothers in 2004 because he was intrigued by the opportunity to grow a local business that had been a part of the North Shore’s fabric since 1910. Since then, Kashian Brothers has evolved under Stein who serves as CEO, from a flooring and rug store to a home design center that boasts a curated selection of custom cabinets, tile, countertops, and flooring to custom design. In 2018, Kashian Brothers opened a second showroom in Lake Forest and just expanded its Wilmette location to include a new kitchen showroom.
