Even the lamps were carefully chosen to fill in the space perfectly without calling attention to themselves, letting other elements of the room shine.
Dream homes stay that way with the occasional refresh. For an executive at an international spice company who conducts business all around the world and his sophisticated wife, home is a sanctuary. They are methodically updating each space with the help of interior designer Robert Hughes, of Robert Hughes Interiors.
Hughes has worked with this power couple before. He understands what they’re looking for in each room and takes extra care to make sure that both of their preferences are reflected in the final selections.
Knowing that they are regular guests of the finest hotels in the world, the challenge was to create a bedroom that outshines them all. That way, when they return from Europe or Asia, Hinsdale is always and forever home sweet home.
