To kick off “A Novel Affair,” Ellen Stirling kept her store, The Lake Forest Shop, open late on the evening of August 31, in anticipation of the upcoming Ragdale event, chaired by Sandra Deromedi. The evening included the introduction of new lines of clothing, wine and cheese, and door and raffle prizes. Stirling, who hosted author Sue Miller at her home during Ragdale’s signature fund-raiser in October, also generously donated 10 percent of the evening sales to benefit Ragdale.
