The Lake Forest Woman’s Club

Once again, The Lake Forest Woman’s Club proved très chic during their annual luncheon and fashion show on May 10 at Knollwood Club. The event was sponsored by Jack and Mary Ellen Graham, Leo and Kathy Schmidt, Adrian and Nancy Smith, and Nabih and Cindy Ramadan. Each year, the Club honors a “Woman Among Us” who exemplifies compassion, empathy, fortitude, and determination. This year’s honoree was Katie Graham, for her tireless work for poverty-stricken families in Africa. Graham helped organize “The Sunshine Initiative,” a not-for-profit which raises funds to help those in Nyamuswa, a remote village in Tanzania.
