Held at the historic home “House of the Four Winds,” the Lake Forest Preservation Foundation hosted a Wine Stroll and Book Signing on August 26. Lyn and Bill Redfield opened their breathtaking Howard Van Doren Shaw home with its magnificent gardens for the event. Appropriately, Barbara Geiger, who recently penned the book Low-Key Genius: The Life and Work of Landscape-Gardener O.C. Simonds, signed her new book, which has several inclusions of Lake Forest. O.C. Simonds designed Lake Forest’s Forest Park as well as the Lake Forest Cemetery and Graceland Cemetery in Chicago.
