At Lake Forest High School’s football home opener, on September 2, the LFHS Boosters unveiled Images of Excellence, a magnificent illuminated mural installation at Varsity Field. At Lake Forest High School’s football home opener, on September 2, the LFHS Boosters unveiled Images of Excellence, a magnificent illuminated mural installation at Varsity Field. The new mural, 180′ x 35′ in size, features striking images of LFHS alumni, whose athletic and academic achievements at LFHS earned them significant honors, including 2011 LFHS Boosters Outstanding Senior Athlete Award recipients Melanie Foster, Tyson Dethlefsen, Mary Susan Bro, and Matthew Miller. The mural is the centerpiece of the Boosters’ Community Partnership Program, through which the Boosters partner with area businesses to further their mission of promoting and supporting athletic success, spirit, and sportsmanship at LFHS. Forest & Bluff will include this Images of Excellence feature in future issues, showcasing photographic images of athletic excellence by current LFHS student-athletes.
