Images of Excellence

The performances by Lake Forest High School student-athletes during the 2011 Fall Sports Season made this one of the great seasons in school history. The LFHS Boys’ Golf Team captured the IHSA State Championship for a second consecutive year, led by individual medalist and State Champion Joe Willis. The Scouts Field Hockey Team (21-3-2) advanced to the State Championship game for the third straight year, earning a second place finish, and the Girls’ Tennis Team defended their 2010 State Championship with another Sectional Championship and top-10 finish at this year’s IHSA State meet. The LFHS Girls’ Swimming & Diving Team won the North Suburban Conference Championship and also captured the Sectional Championship, advancing 14 qualifiers to the IHSA State meet. The Scouts claimed additional North Suburban Conference Championships in Boys’ Football (8-3), Boys’ Soccer (14-5-1), and Girls’ Volleyball (32-4), and delivered outstanding performances in Boys’ and Girls’ Cross Country, Girls’ Golf, Cheerleading, and Dance.
