Lake Forest’s Heritage Festival delighted all the senses on September 3. In celebration of Lake Forest turning 150, committee members brought a celebration to Market Square like no other. Guests enjoyed an ice cream social and performances by the Clark Summers Jazz Band, before a mini “Taste of Lake Forest” was rolled out. Participating restaurants and specialty food shops included Ferentino’s Pizzeria, Chief’s Pub, King Maa, Donati’s Pizza, Gerhard’s, Sunset Foods, Lake Forest Food & Wine, Courtyard Wines, South Gate Cafe, and The Lantern. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame icon Dave Mason and his band closed out the night.
