The Occasion: Held at the Winnetka home of Patrick and Shirley Ryan, members of the Women’s Board of the Field Museum got down to the business of stuffing invitations for the upcoming gala on October 29 entitled “Earth: Our Big Beautiful Ball.”

The Highlights: Over iced tea and pink lemonade, the members stuffed more than 1,300 invitations around Ryan’s dining room table.

The Background: The gala will be kicking off the Museum’s newest, permanent, and most interactive exhibit
called “Restoring Earth,” and will feature all earth-friendly décor, food, and products.

The VIPs: North Shore attendees included Kathleen Carbonara and Cathy Osborn of Winnetka, Beth Glass and Judy McCarter of Northfield, Jean Bierner and Barbara Pearlman of Wilmette, Anne Kavanagh and Kathleen Klaeser of Glenview, Caron Lacy, Anne Patel, and Susan Sebulsky of Lake Forest, and Dorothy Mackevich Marks of Evanston.
