The Occasion: Almost 900 supporters of the Chicago Botanic Garden enjoyed the endless exhibits of nearly 100 vendors from the United States and Europe on the evening of the Antiques & Garden Fair Preview, spring’s true kickoff on the North Shore.
The Background: Returning for the 11th year in a row, the evening event and three-day fair that followed featured indoor display gardens designed to fit the theme “Landscapes Transformed: Gardens of a New Era.”
VIPs: The evening was co-chaired by Katherine Buehler, Tricia Hagenah, and Jen Kasten, and co-producers of the entire fair were Donna LaPietra, Jane O’Neil, and Susan Canmann. Artistic Director was Bill Heffernan.
The Final Tally: More than $250,000 was raised for the Garden’s conservation, education, and research programs.
