The Occasion: Touted as “the black-tie event of the year,” The Joffrey Ballet put its best foot forward during The Women’s Board’s Annual Spring Gala, featuring cocktails, auctions, dinner, and dancing.

The Details: The evening began early with a cocktail reception at the Auditorium Theatre of Roosevelt University, then segued into the event’s first-ever live auction, followed by a private program featuring selections from Artistic Director Ashley C. Wheater.

The VIPs: Wendy L. Chronister and Courtney A. Thompson, event co-chairs, circulated the State, Grand, and Red Lacquer Rooms at the Palmer House Hilton, where the party moved for dinner and dancing.

The Final Tally: The more than 1,000 guests raised $1.3 million to benefit The Joffrey.
