The Occasion: A sold-out crowd of more than 400 blew the roof off Highland Park Country Club during the “Knowledge of Life” silent auction and luncheon for the Myra Rubenstein Weis Health Resource Center and the event’s beneficiary, the Living in the Future (LIFE) Cancer Survivorship Program at NorthShore University HealthSystem.
The Highlights: Guests paid tribute to the luncheon’s honoree, Leon Dragon, M.D., F.A.C.P., for his unfailing commitment to his patients, his esteemed service at NorthShore, and his many accomplishments in the specialty of oncology.
THE VIPs: The luncheon was generously underwritten by Susan Bass, Arlyn and Ira Nevel, Darcy and Jeremy Goldstein, Stephanie and Jordan Goldstein, M.D., Eileen Rubinstein Goldstein and Paul D. Goldstein, M.D., and Anita and Barry Poll.
The Final Tally: More than $125,000 was raised for the LIFE Cancer Survivorship Program at NorthShore.
