Misericordia
March 4
The Occasion: The much-anticipated fashion show for Misericordia, a group that is nationally recognized as one of the leading communities for children and adults with developmental disabilities, was held at The Palmer House in Chicago, hosted by the Women’s Auxiliary.
The Highlight: Misericordia’s longtime partner, Saks Fifth Avenue, offered up their finest in spring fashion during a runway-style show during lunch, right after a performance by The Heartbreakers, a group of 10–12 residents who danced a routine.
The VIPs: Sue Hartemayer serves as the Women’s Auxiliary President, Anne Mills, Missy Walsh, and Ann Waris were the event’s co-chairs, and Sister Rosemary Connelly, Executive Director of Misericordia, expressed her gratitude to all who attended.
The End Result: More than $200,000 was raised to benefit the more than 600 children and adults with developmental disabilities living and working at Misericordia.
