The Occasion: Tim Russert, the late moderator of NBC’s Meet the Press, was honored posthumously with the Lincoln Leadership Prize by the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library Foundation at a benefit dinner at the Four Seasons Hotel.

The VIPs: The award was presented by Tom Brokaw to Russert’s widow, Maureen Orth, and son, Luke Russert, as Governor Pat Quinn, David Axelrod, Captain James Lovell Jr., and Carol Marin looked on.

The End Result: More than $450,000 was raised for the Abraham Lincoln Presidential Library and Museum in Springfield.
