The Occasion: The InterContinental Chicago O’Hare ballroom was bursting at the seams with support during The Cove School’s 2011 benefit aptly entitled “Together We Shine.”
The Background: Founded in 1947, the Northbrook-based school provides vital services to all public schools challenged with the appropriate education setting for students with complex learning needs.
VIPs: The event was co-chaired by Cynthia Mondi of Winnetka and Sondra Adam of Grayslake, and the auction was overseen by Betsy Crosswhite of Wilmette and Lisa Flanagan of Winnetka.
The Final Tally: A record 520 guests raised more than $442,000, which will go toward The Cove School’s individualized programs for children with
learning disabilities.
