The Occasion: More than 400 guests packed the International Ballroom at The Fairmont Chicago to support Boys Hope Girls Hope as they held their annual dinner dance, complete with a Far East theme.

The Highlights: The evening’s main honoree and winner of the 2011 Joseph S. Kearney Sr. Award was graciously accepted by Bobbie Vender of Winnetka.

The VIPs: Co-chairs Kathy Braasch, Beth Miles, and Jennifer O’Shaughnessy played hosts, while Mary Ann Ahern of NBC5 News Chicago was mistress of ceremonies.

The Final Tally: More than $325,000 was raised by the 31-year-old Evanston-based organization, which will go toward scholarships to Chicago area children who are academically capable, but come from families deeply troubled by insurmountable challenges.
