Kohl Children’s Museum
October 9
The Occasion: More than 450 supporters of Kohl Children’s Museum in Glenview came together for an evening of music, dining, and celebration of the one-of-a-kind institution’s 25 years.
The Purpose: The evening honored the museum’s founder, Dolores Kohl Kaplan of Highland Park, with a nod to her Francophile lifestyle: French décor, cuisine, and entertainment delighted guests all night.
The VIPs: The gala was co-chaired by Donna Greenberg of Highland Park and Donna Sims Wilson of Chicago.
The End Result: The $700,000 raised from the event will benefit museum operations, ranging from field trips for schools in under-resourced communities to free museum experiences for children with special needs and other life challenges.
