Saks Fifth Avenue Private Shopping Event

The Occasion: The North Shore Illinois Chapter of The Links, Incorporated, an international, not-for-profit organization for professional women of color, was treated to a continental champagne breakfast at Saks Fifth Avenue Highland Park on a fall October morning.
The Details: Saks hosted the group, who are committed to enriching, sustaining, and ensuring the culture and economic survival of people of African ancestry, before the store opened to the public.
The VIPs: Karen Williams serves as Chapter President, Janice Baskerville serves as Vice-President, and Vivian McMillan and Crystal Fazal helped organize the event.
The End Result: Five percent of sales generated from the event went toward the CARE Foundation, the COVE Alliance, and additional programming for the chapter.
