The Women's Board of Rush University Medical Center
October 14
The Occasion: For the 84th year, the Woman’s Board of Rush University Medical Center held their unstoppable Fashion Show, a literal pulsating event of fashion, music, philanthropy, and positive energy.
The Details: The Palmer House Hilton Grand Ballroom was transformed into a venerable runway of riches, with local celebrity men and women gracing the catwalk.
The Connection: Retailers from the North Shore rubbed shoulders with their Chicago colleagues. The show featured looks from Neapolitan, Chalk, The Lake Forest Shop, Frances Heffernan, and Penny’s From Heaven.
The VIPs: The runway featured many philanthropic ladies from the North Shore, including Monique Kraft and Sandra Deromedi from Lake Forest, and Catherine Busch, Robin Doerge, and Kathy Brock from Winnetka.
The End Result: The more than $500,000 in proceeds from the event will go toward the Woman’s Board’s $10 million pledge to build a state-of-the-art Heart and Vascular Center at Rush.
