The Women's Board of The Field Museum
October 2
The Occasion: Even though new music director Riccardo Muti was ill for the evening, supporters of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra (CSO) were treated to a star-studded evening of music and dinner, proving that the show must go on.
The Details: Presented by the newly created Women’s Board of the CSO Association, the evening began with a performance by guest violinist Anne-Sophie Mutter and ended with dinner under the illuminated tents of Millennium Park.
The VIPs: Chicago Symphony Orchestra Association President Deborah Rutter, President of the Women’s Board Karen Goodyear, Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan, and film star Vince Vaughn and his mother, Shea, were in attendance.
The End Result: Funds raised during the evening went to support the CSO’s operations and community engagement programs.
