October 1
The Occasion: More than 1,500 women flocked to the ballroom of the Chicago Hilton and Towers for one of the season’s hottest tickets: The Gold Coast Fashion Show, put on by The Children’s Service Board, benefiting Children’s Memorial Hospital.
The Highlights: Chris Benz, Matthew Ames, and last year’s winner, Romona Keveza, were just some of the talented designers featured on the runway during the sold-out show.
The Big Decision: Every Gold Coast show must declare a winner! The designer who brought in the most audience votes was Bibhu Mohapatra, whose inspired collection was marked by signature gloves.
The Final Tally: More than $330,000 was raised to go toward The Children’s Service Board’s $3 million, five-year commitment to support the Division of Pediatric Surgery at the Hospital.
