The Occasion: The Women’s Board of Lincoln Park Zoo showed their wild side during the annual Zoo Ball gala—an event featuring Harleys, glitz, and rock ‘n’ roll.

The Details: The grounds of the zoo were transformed into a chic nightclub, with 1,000 guests dancing to the sound of School of Rock, DJ Beep Media, and Dr. Bombay.

The Perks: Guests bid on amazing auction items like a Harley Davidson motorcycle and vacation packages to Cabo San Lucas, Bali, and South Africa.

The VIPs: The event’s co-chairs were Peggy White and Kim Theiss, as well as some of Chicago’s most influential civic and social leaders.

The Final Tally: More than $820,000 was raised to support the Lincoln Park Zoo’s educational initiative and the creation of the new oasis Nature Boardwalk.
